    This series of Web articles is written by Stephen Marine. He is married (47 years), has 6 children and 17 grandchildren.  Bro. Marine has pastored 4 churches in Florida, one in Tennessee and one in North Carolina.  He served as a foreign missionary in Guyana, South America where he established Biblical Baptist Bible Institute. He and his partner, Bro. Titus Mohler, established 6 churches in Guyana.  He and his wife, Carole, are members of Mercy Baptist Church in Ooltewah, TN.
    UPDATE: Stephen Marine went to be with the Lord in October 2019.  While we rejoice that he is now in the presence of the Savior that he loved so much, we are saddened by his absence here on earth.

    These lesson notes are compiled by Robert Rathbone during his study for teaching the Men's Sunday School class.  The passages covered are from the "Through-the-Bible Series" Adult Sunday School Quarterly published for the American Baptist Association and so aren't necessarily a complete verse-by-verse study of the scripture, although at times they do hit every verse.  Only the Bible passage itself is drawn from the quarterly; the notes are drawn from Robert's personal study.  Included with each lesson is a PDF file suitable for printing as notes for the teacher or perhaps as a handout for the class.  Robert can be contacted via email at:

    Sunday afternoons we meet at the church at 2:30 pm for outreach opportunities such as visiting our shut-ins, gathering ministry needs for our missionaries and evangelistic visits to homes in our neighborhood. Also, on the 1st and 3rd Sunday's of the month, Robert Rathbone leads a Bible Study at 2:30 pm at the church.
